hmmh ends 2011 with a record sales turnover

Bremen, 11 April 2012 — hmmh multimediahaus AG, Digital Commerce & Brand Communication Agency, can look back on 2011 as its strongest financial year since its founding. The agency earned 25 percent more than the previous year, achieving a total sales turnover of 21.6 million Euros, and clearly surpassing its original growth targets for 2011.

The dynamic business development is the result of an increased demand for digital commerce. New customers such as Praktiker, apriori and Gerry Weber have placed their trust in hmmh’s skills and taken the plunge into online trading for B2B and B2C. Long-time hmmh customers such as OTTO, bonprix and other reputable brands have further developed their classic marketing budgets in favour of digital projects.

“hmmh’s repositioning has finally reached the market. Our solutions for digital commerce & brand communication create new ways for companies to reach their end customers, and their communication activities are increasingly digital. We understand that, and that’s what has made us a suitable partner for consultancy, realisation and service”, says Stefan Messerknecht, Managing Director of hmmh.

hmmh assumes the dynamic business development will continue in 2012. The agency believes there is great potential for companies to better utilise the digital channels. “The market is mature, we’re benefiting from our experiences, and can make shops more brand-appropriate in the Online Marketing, Mobile and CRM areas,” says Björn Portillo, also a Managing Director of hmmh. Apart from this “homework”, hmmh experts also envisage end customers shopping in a networked fashion in future – independently from sales channels and end devices. “We are actively involved with the issue of web TV”, Björn Portillo continues. This financial year, 350 staff at four locations in Germany will once again help to secure business deals with more businesses and brands. The company creates the necessary environment of creativity and competence through elements such as a staff-oriented personnel policy which provides flexible options for balancing work and family life. With over 20 apprentices and 5 trainees, hmmh also ensures it can draw on qualified junior staff from its own ranks.
