Bremen, April 26, 2012 – hmmh has taken 4th place in the e-commerce category of the BVDW Internet Agency Ranking. With 25 percent growth and a total sales turnover of 21.6 million Euros in 2011, the agency can once again look back on a successful financial year.

“We’re pleased to be placed so well in the Internet Agency Ranking again. This success can be attributed to the consistent demand for digital commerce solutions. New customers such as Praktiker, apriori and Gerry Weber as well as long-time customers such as OTTO, Tchibo and bonprix have broken new ground with us in interactive trade”, says Stefan Messerknecht, spokesman of the hmmh executive board.

Taking 7th position in the overall rankings, hmmh still positions itself at the forefront of the industry, recording the second strongest growth. “We’re convinced the dynamic business will continue in 2012 and the industry will once again achieve double-digit growth. This is confirmed by the positive results from the first quarter. Companies will be using digital channels even more intensively and our company will benefit from this”, Messerknecht explains. “We’re getting closer and closer to our vision of Future Commerce, where end customers will be able to shop in a networked manner – irrespective of sales channels and end devices. We are currently actively engaged in the topic of web TV.”

The continued growth in sales turnover is one reason for hmmh to invest in other locations. In Bremen, the agency has reached a size which cannot be scaled at the same speed as company growth or industry dynamics. In September 2011, hmmh also opened new premises in Hamburg, a city currently considered one of the most attractive IT and media locations in Germany.

The rankings are executed annually by the Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft (BVDW) e.V. since 2001 and published jointly with industry media such as Hightext iBusiness, Werben & Verkaufen and HORIZONT.
