The mission for hmmh was to develop a broad strategy with Praktiker. Decisions had to be made concerning the technological base, fulfillment providers, and content management systems for praktiker.de. Additional services were the conception, design, and implementation of the online shop.
Simplicity next to technical perfection is the most important element of the Praktiker brand core. This claim had to be fulfilled throughout the entire online shop. The intuitive use and a wide range of functionalities are as important as an appealing product presentation. Additionally, praktiker.de wanted an efficient and targeted range of products. A complex interface architecture and a variety of already implemented processes had to be adjusted to the new sales model.
The hardware store now offers a range of 7.500 products. In terms of handling, convenience, and service, praktiker.de fulfills the latest e-commerce standards. Navigation through the shop is possible via text fields as well as icon-based. The search function is displayed prominently throughout the shop and allows the customer to reach the desired article easily. The intelligent filter functions allow pre-selecting by producer, price, performance, and top sellers.
Every product is listed including detailed information about the product, high resolution photography, and availability.
Another feature of the page is the possibility to book additional services via MyHammer-Service according to the chosen products. Payment is possible through all common payment methods.
