Mission

How can an energy supplier with all its products, service activities and actions achieve to stay positively under discussion, even during the cold season of the year? This challenge gives us swb, the supplier from Bremen, within constantly new online campaigns.

Objectives

Short adjustment ways, fast reactions and a strong collaboration with different agencies – high flexibility, to react on up-to-date events. The goal of this: implementing Google AdWords or banner campaigns for “Wochen des Wassers” (weeks of water) or “Werder Strom” (Werder Electricity) as quickly as possible. Always important: The close exchange between all participants, in order to increase the awareness of the products, service activities and actions and therefore win new customers for swb

Implementation

At first, the supplier from Bremen laid a subarea of the campaign management of Google AdWords in our hands, to make advertisement for the products “Strom wie wir” (electricity like us) and “Erdgas wie wir” (natural gas like us). The campaigns were extended constantly, so that many text and also banner ads are now being broadcasted over the AdWords network.

Furthermore, the products electricity and natural gas were meant to have a different advertisement in the area of Hamburg. It was important to consider the benefit communication (discounts) and to create a regional relationship. All banners were newly created, launched and broadcasted in a partner network in the area of Hamburg. Banners which were broadcasted on certain pages and leaded to a download of the contract documents were played more strongly, in order to generate even more contracts. Within the campaign the product was accepted positively

In another campaign the product “Werder Strom” (Werder electricity) was meant to be introduced to the soccer interested target group shortly before the start of the German premier league, in order to increase the sales. Large banner formats, with 3 football players of Werder as prominent figureheads, were presented, having a lot of attention. The special advertising materials were broadcasted on pages, where football fans of Bremen could be found, in the region of Bremen and Bremerhaven. In order to this, the click-through rate was high. Fittingly, we developed a standard advertising material and text ads, which were broadcasted over the Google AdWords network. And a fitting landing page was also added: www.werder-strom.de.

Because of the good collaboration we are now serving all Google AdWords campaigns for swb.
