Mobile offensive at airberlin

The airline airberlin is expanding its mobile offering: hmmh, the lead agency for airberlin in the mobile sphere, has developed an app for the Apple Watch. Other mobile offers will follow later this year.

Bremen, Germany, 08 April 2015 — All information on your wrist: the app for the Apple Watch developed by hmmh will be available for airberlin passengers in time for the launch of the Smart Watch in April. The application informs passengers as soon as check-in starts, provides the most important details about the upcoming flight at a single glance and can be used as a boarding pass. It is already the second offer for a Smart Watch that hmmh has developed for airberlin: the iOS app has been able to be used with the Pebble Watch since March 2014. During the year, the airline plans to further expand its mobile portfolio for smart wearables with the Android operating system Wear.

In addition, customers can now use the services of airberlin with Android smartphones. The app has recently become available in the Google Play Store for free download. With the application, users can use their smartphone to easily book flights, check in and save their boarding pass onto their smartphone. They can also manage booked flights and view their collected "topbonus bonus miles." There has been such an app for iOS devices since 2010. This application also comes from the agency hmmh, which specialises in Digital Commerce and Brand Communication.
